Where have we gone?

You may be wondering what has happened to us? Well we have moved... well not really we have just moved where we are blogging. As many of you know we are trying to grow our family through adoption and as such we have decided to do our family blogging through our adoption blog. We are hoping that through doing this we will be allow potential birth parents to have a little glimpse into our lives.

Thank you all for your support and love. If you would like to continue following us please check out:

Sean goes to Virginia

This summer Sean had the opportunity to back to our old stopping ground where we met to do an internship for Southern Virginia University in the Athletic's department. This was a great opportunity for him but it left me at home alone for 2 months. This is a blog post that I had posted on private family blog that I thought I would share"

I thought I would give a little update to you all to let you know that Sean is loving it in Virginia! He keeps telling me though the only things that are missing are me and getting paid to do what he is doing. He is really enjoying all the work that they are allowing him to do in the Sports information department. I think he has really found what he wants to do for the rest of his life.

Well we are at the Half way mark almost, he has bee gone for 3.5 weeks and will be back the first week in august. I am counting down the days till he comes home but I am grateful for all the experience he is getting out there. I wanted to share a couple links for press releases that he either wrote or co-wrote:

This one was written just by Sean:

He has also been working on understanding and finding the stats for games that had been played in the past. This has proven to be quite a chore!

On the home front, I am still working for Broadview University and we are about to start our fall quarter. Our adoption profile has been online for 3.5 weeks now and we haven't had any activities on it yet but that is ok because it would be nice for Sean to come home before we do.

Bradley Graduates!

Right after Grandpa's party, we headed over to Brad and Angie's apartment, to help them pack and clean a little. Amongst everything else Brad and Angie were doing, they decided to move this weekend too. I'm glad we were able to help a little bit but they truly are troopers.

After cleaning we headed to see Bradley's Graduation from Oregon State University's Engineering program.

Us with the Grad. (I think by this time he was done with taking pictures)

Hanging with my nephews! They are adorable and I love that they love hanging out with me.

It was fun to hang out with those who came to the graduation. Those in attendance: Uncle Vern, Aunt Donna, Grace, Grandma and Grandpa Nelson and Pippert, Cory, Mom and Papa, and of course Angie.

After the ceremony we went over to see where Brad's new office was and then over to see there new house.

All in all it was a great weekend. We had a great time attending the party and going to Brad's graduation. It's pretty amazing to say that my parents have 4 children that have graduated from college and they have 3 more to go.
I'm grateful for Dan and Lesley who put us up for the weekend. I really enjoyed our short time that we had to visit with them. They are an amazing couple.

Thanks to all who made this a wonderful weekend!

Grandpa Pipperts 80th Birthday!

For Grandpa Pippert's birthday we had a fun family get-together on June 10! It was great to see so many aunts and uncles and to celebrate the life of this wonderful man! We had the party at Grandpa's house in Waterloo Oregon and it was a wonderful day. Here are some pictures from the festivities of that party:

Me and my cute nephew Ezra. He was my buddy during the day and I loved snuggling with him.

Uncle Greg and Aunt Jill.

The birthday boy!!!

Uncle Jon, Bradley and Sean chatting it up.

Everyone Hanging out.

Jason loved the homemade ice cream and cake, but what little boy wouldn't?

Cory just chillin'

The boys of summer... (grandsons/Cousins)

Ezra, Brad, Cory, Jason, Kyle, Jackson, Grandpa, Boomer, Klain, and Klayton

Cory and Jason. Jason had a birthday a few days earlier and so Sean and I got him some go fish cards. It was fun to teach him how to play and see how much fun he was having. Cory took over and you can deffenatly tell that they both were having a good time. I love the look of pure joy on Jason's face.

All and all it was a great party and it so fun to see family.
Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!
I hope you know that you are loved and that we appreciate all you have done for this family!

Scott's Graduation!

On June 5, 2011, we had the opportunity to attend my youngest brothers graduation from High School. We weren't sure if he was going to make it or not but he pulled through at the end to graduate on time and be able to walk with his class. It is hard to believe that all of my younger brothers are now adults and have graduated from High School. It was great to be able to support Scott and to let him know that his family has his back. Here are some pictures from the graduation and after the graduation.

Waiting for the graduates:

Aaron just chillin and wanting to see if he could pick out Uncle Scott from the crowd below.

Grandpa Nelson, Papa, and Grandma Nelson: waiting, some more anxiously then others.

Grandpa and Grandma Pippert made the journey to come to the graduation as well.

Aaron making the rounds and sitting on any ones lap that he could.

I really liked this picture of Grandma. She is beautiful when she smiles!

Here come the Graduates from Baker City High School Graduating class of 2011:

Scott is in the row standing up 3rd from the right or 6th from the left. The had them in order of height. I must have a tall brother since he was the 3rd tallest in his class.

Brittany Graduates!

On the weekend of April 21, 2011 Brittany Graduated from BYU!!! We were so excited for her to achieve this accomplishment. She had to work hard for it but she came through every trial school through at her with a smile on her face. We are so proud of you Brittany and feel awful that we weren't able to be there to celebrate with you! Here are some pictures I stole from her face book page.

Congratulations Brittany!!!
You are amazing and we love you!!!!

Parley gets a hair cut

For the summer we decided that Parley needed a haircut. His hair can get quite long and since he sheds we decided that we would cut it short for summer. Here are some before and after shots.

Before:
He is not sure what is going on but at least his tail was still wagging.

Here was the lenght of his hair.

After:
He has this funny little strip down his back that is soo black. The rest of him as you can tell from the before pictures, grows in black but when you shave it, the under coat is more of a tan color.

Right after a bath and he has the look of, "What did you do to me!"

"But I still love you!"
